French Restoration Project

Post by Robbo »

Came across these photographs of French MV club members fixing up their truck:

They look pretty well set up with that motor pool building.

Funny how the same old truck problems need no translation.
I love the smell of cosmoline in the morning!

My kind of shop and crew, they are well organized. Looks like a fun operation.

You get one attaboy.
It is possible to take shortcuts, it all depends on how much one values their truck. The manual is still the best guide.

No danger, depending on the ability of the mechanic.

Anymore from this crew? I am impressed with the way they are going about their work. The mechanical work comes first, and they have ideal shop and tools.

Copy and paste their webpage's URL into Google and it will translate the French text.

http://www.univem-paris.com/

They have done quite a few vehicles.

Note how they have cleaned and painted the CCKW brake backing plates, attention to detail in that manner contributes to minimal future maintenance.
These gentlemen would be welcome in my workshop anytime.
