Occasionally for giggles and the latest twist on CCKW from a "real CCKW expert", I visit the TM9-801 CCKW site to check on the owners CCKW to see is he is finally going to start restoring it after 10 years of ownership. It appears that all CCKW vendors are either dishonest or clueless and all authors of CCKW related books or MV magazine featured articles are wrong and the parts he has bought are not worthy for use on his pedigree CCKW.
He was recently made unaware that his own CCKW was delivered as a cab and chassis. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for his truck after picking apart the owners of dozens of nicely restored CCKW's that are featured in prestigious collectors books and articles in magazines.
This truck is smack dab in the middle of the Red Ball Transport territory which is rich in CCKW's and expertise.

He sure finds fault with all that post anything CCKW, but all one has to do is take one look at his truck of ten years, uphere the town would haul it off as an eyesore.

when a truck is 60 plus years old there lots of stuff that gets fudged up over the years. Around here the Farmers used them to pick there potatoes. Stuff happens im just glad some are still alive. Bill

Farby's been on an ebay kick about the price of a CCKW SWB Fuel Tank, this has had his attention for a few weeks, but the funny thing is that it ain't for a CCKW, it's for the SWB M-5H6. His Decals apparantly are drawing a few customers who choose to mask their identity. They do look pretty good tho, but my truck will run just as well without them.

Love that Farby guy, he is always criticizing CCKW's owned by others, has anyone seen his Moriah? The latest victim is a CCKW on Craigslist. Fine expert he is, he did not note the G-506 Cargo Body.
