Hi All:

I am trying to determine whether or not the USN SeaBees (Construction Batallion) used the WC-43 Telephone Body truck, or was it only the US Army which had them.

I contacted the Port Hueneme Naval Base Archives unit, but did not receive a response.

Any help?

I replied to this in the old forum but here goes again. I think there is a possibility as they would have a need for this type of truck but I have not found any photos of them with Navy markings that I remember, of course the only photots I save are ones with markings that can be read. The Navy used a lot of IH and Ford trucks but I don't know of any with the phone body, possibly the G7100 series Chevy.

My understanding of Port Hueneme is it is best to visit the archives in person.

Yeah, I saw it. I posted to both to try to get as many viewers as possible.
