Great pictures indeed, does anyone know what kind of trucks are on the 6th picture link? didn't recognize them, could look for hours at all these pictures of VCs looking for details

Those are 1936-1937 Biederman model 110 4-Ton 6x6's. Only around 20 or so were produced at a cost of $5,750 each. 4 speed Model 5A-620 Tranny (Fuller), Wisconsin T-2-B two speed Transfer Case and a Continental 501 CI Model 22R pulling out 138 HP@2400RPM's.

What was the deal with some VC's not having brush guards even though they had the stay holes in the grill. Anyone know if there was an official reason for this or just local preference etc?

Hi
There are alot of early pictures of VCs with out the grill guard.
All i can think of is that there was a supply problem
