I got my build card micro film copy from chrysler cororation.
Can you tell me how I can find out where my truck was sent to?
Which body numbers were painted on my dodge WC52?
How to find out?
Is there a data base?
The only way to find out what markings were painted onto your Dodge WC is to carefully sand down the paint, layer by layer, until you find the original markings. Sometimes the vehicle has been through one or several re builds and subjected to having the body sand blasted, which removes all traces of any markings. This happened to my Dodge WC51. I haven't been able to find any markings underneath the old paint.
There are no central libraries or places where all WW2 paperwork is kept, unfortunately.
There are several threads here on the forum on how to find the markings.
Good luck,
