It just hit me that there's no way to tell whom each of the build cards belongs to. I for one is interested finding out which card belongs to Micha's CC?

Would it be possible to add the names, country, etc. to each BC? I suppose it's quite an undertaking, but still manageable.

Sylvia, what says you?

Hello Florence. Would like to send a copy of my build card to add to your list. The truck is a WC56 - #81631567. I sent some restoration pictures to you I think a couple of years ago and thought you my use some of them. It's the one we found all the SEABEE & U.S. Naval info on. I Don't have capability to take pictures of the build card and send through E-Mail at this time. Do you have an address I can send copies to you for your use on the build card listings. I sent copies to Jaun about two weeks ago so he could add it to his build card break-down list also. Your Command Car Web-Site is wonderful. Let me know?

Thanks,
Brooks & Linda Carswell

Hello Goran,

I like this idea and was thinking about this over a year ago already. When you go over a BC with the mouse it shows a short info but never the complete name.
The reason is the privacy - I spooke to some Truck owners on vehicle meetings, some of them don't even wan't their BC shown in the web. One told me that there is a risk that somebody took the numbers for a stolen Truck or for a complete new build of a CC body for example.

I also spooke with friends about discuss a meeting on the open forum, on one hand its fun to plan a meeting on the other you show people nobody at home at the time around a special date ...

Greetings

Hello Brooks,
Hello Florence. Would like to send a copy of my build card to add to your list. The truck is a WC56 - #81631567
I will send you my address via PN. Or of course just wait, I'm sure Juan will send the BC via mail.

Still have your great canvas top pictures waiting to be be shown on the web.
Together with lots of pictures regarding the distributor filter also waiting.

When starting command-car.com I never thought it get that much response from all over the world.
Of course I'm very happy about all the response! However it is (must be) a hobby and time is way too short sometimes.

Greetings

After looking at the list of build cards, there does not seem to be a lot of logic to the designation of serial numbers and dates. If you look at the Ordinance Department summary sheet (http://users.beagle.com.au/mtrpool/JPG/OD214.jpeg) of the contract numbers, build dates, starting serial numbers and hood numbers, I would have thought that there would be some correlation between the contract numbers, serial numbers and body types that were produced. It appears that only the engine numbers go up in tandem with the serial numbers as the build dates are a bit random. Similarly, the body types are all mixed in with the rising serial numbers and not grouped within the areas of the serial numbers, implying that they were building most all styles simultaneously and not in groups as the contracts would have implied. Since the body styles were built by other manufacturers, they probably put together the vehicles for which they had bodies as most of the frame and mechanical components were standardized. It would be interesting to see even more build cards. My hat's off to Sylvia for the work!

Hi Davy,

thanks for the info, another B.C. would be great!
Did you also look underneath the hood for the body tag (located on the drivers side, above the firewall)?

Cheers
