thought I would ask all you scroungers out there! (crawlers)

Post by daveyboy »

I have seen a lot of posts of you guys finding these relics lately. You must also find other trucks and equipment you have no interest in while searching?

I was hoping someone knows of a small vintage crawler out there for sale.

I am looking specifically for an Oliver HG-42 or OC-3. Preferable with a blade. Preferably running as well!

Anyone know of, or run across one in their serach for MV's?

Daveyboy:

Is NC too far for you if something turns up? I can check with a cousin of mine. He is into old tractors, and crawlers are one of his niches.

Dad is bringing me a Simplicity Walking Tractor, probably this weekend. Just what I need, another line of stuff to start collecting. :D

All:

I will be looking for a turning plow, sulky, dump trailer with sulky, disc harrow, front cultivator, mowers, and any other accessories for a Simplicity walker.

Daveyboy:

He has an Oliver OC-3, and is not selling. He said that he Cletrac HG-42 and Oliver OC-3 are not all that rare. He did suggest that you put an ad in the OLIVER HERITAGE magazine.

Thanks:

Good job. If it will quit raining long enough to use it, I hope to fire up the Simplicity LC and cultivate the big garden with it this weekend. I need to find one piece of sheet metal for it, and some other accessories.

Good luck w/ your new Celtrac
