Probably in Strata Blue?

Not too bad, my M38A1 has Strata Blue on the underneath parts, and those areas seem pretty close to what Cabel has.

I don't know...but it's going to be tested with that hydrogen balloon and foil target! Maybe they were testing some captured German Wurzburg.

I figured they were just doing weather observations - wind strength etc - but as they appear to be mobile units, they could be measuring prevailing winds to map fallout distribution. Here's the caption:

I remember a fellow high school student once asking our science teacher (who had degrees in nuclear physics) what's the best thing to do in the event of a nuclear attack - his exact answer was "Put your head between your legs and kiss your arse goodbye". looks like the head and dish of a SCR-584, after the war thay cut and pasted that to every thing, cant really tell in the picture, if its mounted on a vehicle behind? the van?
