You can see how the early truck beds are just copies of those wagon beds, hoods, hood frames, Dodge even copied the shapes of the wagon bed uprights for the metal beds.

Indeed, the Dodge name for their early 4x4 trucks, "Power Wagon", was not much of exaggeration.
