Note King Bee reflectors on late composite body.
I love the smell of cosmoline in the morning!

It is possible that the Tail Lights may not be Guide also. First photo has beautiful details of 1st Series CCKWs, my favorite time period as I am a MV historian interested in that period.

The first pic looked pre war or stateside.

CCKW-352 with unit markings on door, not the national emblem.

Also the fuel tanks did not have passenger side 3 inch fillers.

The web gear also looks OD 3 (I HATE to say it, but khaki-ish) not OD 7. The leggings and cartridge belt specifically.

Historical photos are great, the early trucks are shown "Plain Jane" without all the mods and garbage hung everywhere.

Most likely installed by the contractor for the body as they are included in the packing list for a completed Wood Cargo Body.

Note the CCKWX models and the early square Gasoline Drums.
I have had the privelege to serve with Army veterans who took part in the Louisiana Maneuvers.

My pick of them is this one:

Lots of good early stuff in these photographs including M2 tanks and early "peeps":

The early vehicles are much more interesting (to me at least) than the later generic stuff.

I enjoy photos of early WWII vehicles and equipment, the barracks bring back memories of my tour in the military.
The history of this unit and the destiny of the men is a sobering tribute. War is Hell.
