Betcha most of you did not realize this about your Cargo Body troop Seats. There are four latches GM Part 2146079 that go on tyhe 2nd slat down of both sides, these are attatched to the slats by four 5/16" x 1 1/2 Ribbed Carrige Bolts that are made that way so as not to rotate. Ribbed carriage bolts to not have the square neck at the head, but have a Ribbed shoulder that is made to bite into the slats.

Next item, the bolts that secure the Running Boards to the brackets are not Carriage bolts, They are "Step Bolts" Step bolts have a larger head than the Carriage Bolt of the corresponding size.

There are at least 3 variations of the correct diameter wooden steering wheel as used on the CCKW. Some were made by Inland, a division of General Motors. Inland was also famous for the M-1 Carbine it produced.
