CCKW PAINT

Post by RANGER »

I used AJP WWII Green by Gillespie. It is a semigloss late WWII color and is very pleasant to look at. Like all other repro enamel from the restoration dealers, it will fade if left outdoors day in and day out, but not like the Aervoe. I painted my CCKW this color in 1991 because it was such a very pleasant color. Mine is kept indoors and the paint is as good looking as when I applied it. If you want something better than the $25.00/gallon alkyd enamel, the paint by Halifax Group may be the way to go the owner knows his paint, and it is quality and ultra violet ray resistant, the $25.00/gallon paint is not.

One usually gets just what one pays for when it comes to paint.
