CCKW DEEP SUMP(TWO PIECE) OIL PAN
It was incorporated into CCKW production in 1942, the purpose was to eliminate the connecting rods dipping into the oil at steep angles, acting as an eggbeater, which would affect oil pressure(foaming) and oil temperature.
