Looking for some help with the size of the cab mounting blocks for a 1941 WC-12 or so Dodge 1/2 ton 4x4 truck.

I've seen 4" cube quoted

I bought some new ones from VPW, although I'm sure Midwest makes the same thing.

They weren't square, and they had steps milled in. They were made of oak, but don't know which type of oak.

The thickness of mine is 1 1/2"; the long inside is 4"; the front (shown below) is 3 1/2". I can't get the back or outside dimensions right now.

If you make them too thick, the cowl will be too high and will make the hood align improperly. Plus, you spring bolts may turn out too short.
