Do you have the serialnumber and manufacturing date for it?
Also the serialnumber for the cab would be of interest.
I thought that all the cab Model 1574 had the ashtray... When did they "loose it"?

I had a few questions though seeing as the photographer gave us some nice up close detail shots:

1) the dash choke/throttle/light knobs. What color should they be? I am painting mine black, but are they supposed to be so?

2) Exhaust pipe looks to be attached via a "u" bolt to the mud flap. Is this true or was this done to stop rattling? I ask because I have a dump body and dumps arent supposed to have mud flaps, so how was it attached? OR, was the exhaust a differnt part number and or routing altogeher?

3) Firewall.. Is that a data plate on a firewall from the factory? Is this a cardboard firewall pad? thats interesting..

4) heater box... I am pretty sure most Military closed cabs had no heaters. Is this an add on or did you in fact find a military heater box for yourself somehow, somewhere?

Not trying to be nitpicky, just curiuos.. I dont have the long years of knowlegde base like yourself to know what right and wrong on all the small details so thats why I ask.

sure would like to see a picture of the floor mat too.!!

Yea, I too 'SUPPOSEDLY" bought myself a TRUE NOS floormat.

Paid enough for it... Its supoosedly the real deal.. cant wait to install mine.

I am going to "veer" from originalality a bit here too in the form of floor insulation/sound deadener first, then the mat on top.

Hope to keep the heat and noise down even a little.

BTW... Having a heater is nice for sure... BU, in Texas its rarely needed. In fact, I wish I could find a stock, NOS A/C unit from ww2!!!

Not meaning the "Silikone sticker" but the one above.

Thanks for the serialnumber. It is put in to my list that is ever growing.
And the cab looks very nice indeed, so I understand you do not rebuild it back to 1574 config. And is always nice to know "I can do it if I want"..
