SWB CCKWS

Post by RANGER »

It is noted that many of the surviving SWB Open Cab CCKWs are early Closed Cab CCKWs that have been retrofitted. Ordnance rebuilds tend to make Heinz 57s out of SWBs. Note the assortment of late Spare Tire Carriers with Small Neck Fuel Tanks.
We still love them, no matter what. There is nothing finer than a smooth running CCKW.

SWBs were not popular items at the surplus sales of the 40s thru 60s here in the USofA. The LWBs were preferred by the users. I can't prove it, but it appears that SWB is the CCKW of choice today.
