All

This is for an early WC51.

Looking for the two blocks that screw into the body that the windshield (when in the up position) rests on. There are two threaded holes for each at the top of the dash.

Checked with Midwest and they don't have any. Maybe someone has a pair on a parts truck?

G,day Gus . Here are the dimensions for the bump stop . L 2.5 in x 1/2 in x 1/2 in . I got these dimensions of a wc51 ,early model . The 2 holes are 1 3/4 inch apart . I think there is a piece of bar under the cowl , tapped at the size of the Counter sunk screw,s . I would think that the thread is 1/4 unf or unc . Most of these bump stops are usually rusted . After 75 years . Hope this helps . Ray

Thanks Ray!

Is the bump stop all metal?... or does it have some other material that contacts the windshield?

I imagine that the bumper is just a block with the screws running through it?

G,Day Gus . The one ,s on mine are all metal .The metal windscreen frame just sits on the metal block ,and is pulled down by the locks on the front of the dash board . Get your engineers to make you up 2 .They will have plenty of metal pieces lying around . Ray

Yes, it is a piece of metal with the holes drilled through it . Counter sunk screw used ,so the bump stop will have to be counter sunk . Ray

Shims are used under the blocks to adjust the height and so adjust the windscreen frame to the vertical.

Found a set, take offs from an early WC51. Pricey, they want $25 each without the hardware.

I made my own from a piece of 1/2" plate steel. Cut them off with a 9" angle grinder and finished them with a file. Drilled and counter sunk the holes. Job done. The only specialised tool used, if you would call it that was the large diameter counter sink.
If the nut plate is missing from under the dash you should be able to use loose nuts.
