Going for Registration

Back in February 2011 I landed a WC 53 Carry-All from John Bizal at Midwest Military. For me this was supposed to be a retirement project but like most guys I couldn't wait to get into it.
Now 8 years later and many more $$$$ than I care to count I will take this vehicle to the testing station for a road worthiness and registration inspection!
It's been one heck of a ride and I just can't wait to be able to drive it on the road without looking over my shoulder watching for Officer Dibble
Special thanks to John Bizal and all of you amazing people on this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With-out you all the Carry-All may never have seen the light of day again. I will go for a sneaky drive today
Once I work out how to post pictures I will add some.
Cheers
Ian

I can see the problem Ian, now the Carryall is done, what are you going to do in retirement? Good luck with it.

Well the Carry-All passed its registration inspection, so we will be road legal in a day or two, the only road legal WC 53 in New Zealand
(for now)
Hey Gordon, didn't anyone tell you we have LOTS of trout in the rivers here
and I do have a rether battered M38A1 that needs some TLC.
Cheers

Well as is ALWAYS the case in this country, red tape has reared its ugly head. Some one forgot to enter a border crossing date when she came over the border! Sigh. It's all solvable with money!

Well the NZTA (New Zealand Transport Agency) has now accepted that the WC 53 Carry All is actually a bona fide Dodge model so nu=ow I'm the proud owner of an NZ VIN plate, the 1st ever for a WC 53!
One Monday (its now Thursday) I will be the proud owner of an official VIN Plate But........, we JUST need an inspection by an "accredited" inspector (for "accredted" read expensive) to give the body work the Royal tick of approval and then we can get LICENCE PLATES
OOOHHHH I just cannot wait!

"Accredited Inspector" sounds like something you could do in retirement to make pennies too ...

Oops, ignore that!
It's a thought, but I think I'll stick to part time work on oil and gas projects. Less red tape and better money
