Anyone have a good source for a 6 volt Spartan rebuild.

I have cleaned it, painted the trumpet, got a new diaphragm from Midwest and disassembled and reassembled multiple times! Can't get it to work.

So it's not a Sparton, is it an Autolite?.

Dodge led Autolite...or not?.

AL-HA-4001, 6v.

AL-HD-4001, 12v.

AL - Electric Auto-Lite Corp. Toledo, Ohio.

AC is another company. A. C. Spark Plug Div. (G.M.C.), Flint, Mich.

Juan.

G,Day Gus . Put the horn across the 12 or 6 volt battery . If you hear a click then it is ok . If no click then you have an open curcuit .Try adjusting the screw in or out . If no results your horn coil is toast . Take it down to your engineers . {R.A.E.M.E in the Aussie army }. They should be able to tell you if it is toast . May be fix it for you . Probably cost a couple of bottles of BEER . Ray .

i found the easiest way to rebuild the horn is to actually buy a new one online like on ebay. find a short nose or no nose one with the same bolt pattern, remove old, bolt new horn assembly on and go. it is a pretty common item.....
