In the process of changing out my tires on the WC51. The rims came apart but stuck to the tire which required a lot of soapy water and WD40 to loosen up. Has anyone ever used any kind of lube to keep this from happening?

We used to put baby powder in light aircraft tires to keep the tubes from sticking to the tires but I can't see that working between the tire and the tube. As you probably know I don't think any type of petroleum product would be good for the tire. I'm thinking some type of silicon spray or graphite product, then whatever was applied between the tire and rim I would think some would get thrown out from the wheel rotation. That's my 2 cents worth.

I actually put carnuba wax on to see if that works!

thanks all !

i have used silicone based lubricant for that purpose. silicone based wont rot the rubber. there is products in the truck tire world designed for this issue as well. I dont remember the names.
