My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.

Old Henry for the win!

We had a rather large antique and classic car show in my town(they shut the center of town, and line the streets with the cars) and I put both my 1942 WC51 "Old Henry" and my 1974 TR6 into it. I drove a whole 100 yards to my display spot... lol...

Anyway, the TR6 was in the "Import Stock 1970-1980" class, and the WC in a special class, "Military and Emergency Responder Vehicles"- which included some Jeeps, as well as some shiny red fire engines...

The TR6 got a quick bath, I vacuumed the carpet, and put some Armor All on the dash & visors. The WC had basically NOTHING done- no wash, the canvas was folded & on the disassembled bows in the bed, scrapes and paint chips and dents, and there was grime on the engine- also spiderwebs here and there! lol...

The TR6 took Second place in its class- AND OLD HENRY TOOK FIRST IN HIS! I am rather proud of these two- this was the first show I entered for judging, and to walk off with trophies for each was great!

Scott,
Congratulations on your win. It is kind of fun to take an old military vehicle to a car show and win amid all the shinny paint and chrome.

Thanks Guys! Yes- I was kinda surprised I pulled a First Place trophy with all the scratches, dings and dirt! But I figure the judge knew what real military trucks look like when they are in the field! I mainly registered so I could put her in to be seen! The trophy was just a cherry on top!

I always said all these over-restored trucks look too good. Well done. :D
