Tried adding some pics but couldn't get them to upload, if someone could walk me through the process i would be glad to post some.

Ron

I use the desk top version at https://Postimages.org , its super simple , I take a picture
or pictures with a digtal camera set to a 4x6 size for posting on forums , bring
up postimage and transfer the pictures from my camera to postimage then attach
them to a new thead here ( copy and paste ) Check it out .

Image

I forgot a couple steps , 1; create an account at Postimages.org 2; take picture with camera
3; transfer picture to computer ( in my case a smart phone ) 4; transfer picture from computer
or smart phone to Postimages.org 5; open new window for ww2dodge ,start a thread , then
after the text , copy and paste picture from postimage , to your thread .

I'm not to good at trying to explain procedure maybe somebody can chime in and make it
easier to understand

[quote="Forgotten Field"]Ron,
Great! I really appreciate you making the effort to tell a good story with your WC54. Not everybody goes to that effort, and I think it says something good about you as an owner and will certainly help preserve some of the history of a unit which most people would otherwise not hear about. Popular history of WWII always mentions casualties and Medics, but there isn't much describing the process of treating and evacuating wounded. If you haven't found this page-

https://www.med-dept.com/

it is a very good one regarding WWII Army Medicine. Poke around- there are lots of good articles including this one on Blanket sets (which are carried on a WC-54)

https://www.med-dept.com/articles/medic ... nket-sets/

I found this on the web about a Doctor who served in the 327th Medical Battalion. Below the link is a quote from the text. It might make a nice story board to display next to your Ambulance.

It's amazing whats out there for info if you just keep digging. I did run across the letter from the doctor of the 327th and found it interesting.

As far as blankets, I will have to include them on my list of items to find along with a couple helmets and a fire extinguisher as things progress.

Tried uploading pics on post image but for some reason they won't copy and paste to a thread here. Not sure whats going on, I can upload to the post image site fine but can not get them to transfer over. I will be the first to admit, not that great with the technical stuff on a computer and I tend to get frustrated and discouraged real fast, no patients when things don't work the way they should.

Ron , I'm not the best at trying to explain procedure on computer stuff ,
and not that good at it either , so bear with me as I try a little further , the way
I get pictures in a post is type the message then open a second window ( tab )
for post image , in post image open your pictures that you have uploaded
then pick one and click on it , it should pop up as just that one , then click on
the share button ( blue icon ) top left of the picture , that will give you a bunch of choices
to click on , click on the second from the bottom , it says hot link for forums
( click on the blue icon on the right side ) then it should say copied . now go
back to the ww2 dodge window ( tab ) and in the box of the text that you typed
go down a couple spaces ( lines ) then put the cursor ( the pointy arrow ) on the
vertical line that shows were you would start typing , right click and hold the mouse
button till it says copied . a bunch of letters and numbers should pop up
this will be the image , then click on preview to see if it worked .
Good luck and keep trying , maybe somebody else might chime in on how
to post pictures , hopefully I got this correct , If it does not work let me know
and I'll try to explain it a little better .

Ron , I'm glad you got it to work , however I must not be doing something
correct, all I see in your last post is the word image , 5 times , when I click
on one of the five it goes to postimage's site , how do I veiw the pictures ?

Kris
i am the last one you want to ask about what could be wrong. i followed your directions, once i saw it was copied on the post image site, i pasted it to the forum. When i checked the preview, the pics were there so I submitted them and they show up on my computer .I also checked the site from my phone and they showed up there as well. i did delete them from post image but that shouldn't matter. lets see if anyone else chimes in and see if they can view them or not. See, just when you think you got it figured out, something goes wrong.

Kris...the brass data plate photo appears on my screen as does the latest with the two trucks. Both photos are a really good size. The photo of the single truck is a little small.

Thanks for posting.

Vista , thanks for the response , the little picture is sized that way
same with the larger photo , kinda a test to see how they would post

Ron , I was thinking that if you deleted the pictures on post image
maybe they don't show up on this site ? , although haven't heard if
the other members can see them or not , perhaps as a test put a
image on post image , don't delete and see if it will post here ?

Build card finally arrived. As predicted, build date was 7-14-42, sch. # 16974.Does this help narrow down the hood reg numbers or do i just pick one within the range already posted?
Anyone involved with the data base, feel free to include this or let me know who to send it to.

Progress on the vehicle: Interior painted (dash, door jambs, ceiling and cargo area), prepping the outside and hope to have it painted soon.

Where is the best place to get a stencil kit?

Thanks for the help, Ron

G,Day Ron . I just had a look at your 54 .. 33070 looks a lot greener than 34087 ,which is later ww2 colour . I have a suspicion that the inside of the ambo,s were gloss or semi gloss . When you think about it , it make sense , as semi , or gloss would be much easier to clean and keep clean , than a flat 33070 or 34087. Ray
