winch cable end
does anyone have a source and pics of the proper hardware that went on the end of the cable on WC 3/4 and 1.5 tons? the piece that attaches to the cable specifically

yes that's it but thought they were a different style in WW2 but that looks correct from what others are telling me

Cable Nut
It is a four part CABLE NUT, made by Gar Wood in a variety of sizes. A similar item is still available but only has one threaded end.
Dodges used 3/8" ( early ) and 7'16" ( late ) winch cable. I think the standard cable nut was for 3/8" but would fit both cable sizes, I was certainly able to fit the 3/8" marked nut on the 7/16" cable on the T-36 winch.
