as some of you might have read at fb or noticed via other channels will the Normandy Tank Museum be closed soon (Nov. 2016).
The Museum was established in 2013 by the collector Patrick Nerrant - just some days before the 69th anniversary of the landings and is located at Catz, directly beside the Motorway to Cherbourg.
The location is a former Army Airfield and the collection became one of the most outstanding Museums of its kind in Normandy.
Without knowing the details the owners announced this summer that the Museum will be closed because of financial problems.
Having been at MILWEB the first time since a while I found some of the Armored Vehicles there listed and announcement of a date for sale.
So if you want to visit the Museum before everything is sold, you should hurry up.

It will be a real loss for the people interested in D-Day history and MV in general.
A very sad end of a great Museum.
