I'v tried to order from bolt and nut places before,
but every thing thay hand me, doesent fit my tap and die set.
but my tap and die fits everything on my wc-4,
I seem to vagely remember somthing about a whitworth thread?
is that what detroit was using back then?

Brian, I have had great success with McMaster-Carr. They have an extensive on-line catalog and will have the diameter and thread you need. In the era of the WC4, bolts were supllied in 1/8" incrementents. Today you are lucky to find 1/4" increments and in larger diameters 1/2" increments. You may have to trim the length to fit. You won't find whitworth thread except on early English vehicles

looked at there site, spotted another thing thats troubling,
everyone seems to have there own definition of pan head.
I have a pet theory that, the stuff everyone has ,is coming from china,
and the threads just dont have the right slant.
maybe the chinees are using whitworth threads instead of SAE?
