The U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum offers this 1942 WC-56 Dodge Command Car project for sale. This vehicle saw service in Europe during WWII and was sold to Switzerland after the war. It was obtained by the USVMM for restoration and display in 1985. It has been stored indoors since that time and was only recently brought out to start restoration. Due to the generosity of one of our patrons we obtained a restored WC-56 and shifted our work to other vehicles. This WC-56 is 98% intact and ran/drove when the museum put it in storage. The body tub has no areas with rust through. The running board under the battery and bottom edges of the fenders need rust through repaired or replaced. Original inner spring seats are included as are new plywood seat frames cut from original patterns (seats could be restored with either foam or using original springs).
