delta tank radio?

anyone out there in tank land know how a vrc/3 was mounted in D-16
scince the scr-506 set was mounted in the right sponson.
are we thinking it might have been in the turret?
if so, would that be what the mystry radio antina mount was for.
on the right rear corner of the turret?
( according to the toe, most stuerts were relegated to D. co)
(#16 was the co. hq. radio tank)
( which contained - scr-508, scr-506, vrc/3)
