Fan Belt Mystery

Can anyone identify the following (apparently WW2) fan belt:

GMC - 2182650

The belt is nicely marked with the GMC logo and the above part number and rolled into 3 rings as if to store in parts kits. I don't believe they are from post war applications.

The 218 part of the number suggests maybe they are mid-war parts. The part number doesn't seem to match any GMC truck. I thought they might be Canadian Chev C60X 6x6 which also used the 270 engine but the numbers don't match and they apparently used a matched pair of belts.

The only other possibility I can think of is the "Staghound" Armd. Car but I think they also used a matched set pair of belts.

Anyone know what application it fits?

It's vague as it fits the forward Bilge Pump, and would not be found by looking in the usual cooling system section of the parts manual.

Robbo,
Only the very early DUKW's used V belts on the forward bilge pump. They were replaced with a chain & sprocket.

Thanks for all the feedback.

There's a collector near here who's trying to put an early DUKW back together. The body was cut into at least three sections so he has a big job ahead of him. I'll pass the belts on to him for his parts display.
