Carter ETW1 Step up piston Gasket

Post by G. Miskovsky »

All,

Does anyone know if the Carter Carb step up piston gasket is an O-Ring or flat? My rebuild kit did not have one in it.

Gus- is it possible that you take a pic of the 'step up' piston? I just rebuilt my ETW1, and am familiar with where most of the gaskets go..

Good morning from Iraq!

Gus, to the best of my knowledge, there are no gaskets in the step up piston assembly. There is, however, one flat one that seats the "receiving" portion of the piston needle. I took that portion to ACE hardware and found the replacement.

Does that help?
