Pics needed 41 Closed Cab
Can anyone direct me to one of the restorations in the forum that shows the front firewall with the wiring in place? I’ve seen it before but I cannot find it after looking for several days.
Thank you for the help-Rick

Re: Pics needed 41 Closed Cab
You might take a look at the many restorations that Phil H
has done ( look in the members list to find all of his posts )
Phil does some of the best work I have ever seen , way better
than brand new factory , he has posted 100s of pictures ...,
I think around page 8 on the list is a pic. of a WC 22 firewall
that is wired , should be the same as a closed cab ( I think )
I looked at Phil's pictures just now , not sure if the one I mentioned
above is a 22 , however there are other pics , look for his WC22
restoration thread , some really good pictures there .

Below are some of Phil's photos of his WC22 project with some other photos. Hopefully, some of these photos may be of assistance:

Hey Zeph , how did you get those pictures to post ? , and not
to detract from your restorations as they are just as good as
Phil's , really like the way you document your work as well .
Speaking of Phil , haven't seen any posts from him for a while
I figured he would have a new project by now .

Re: Pics needed 41 Closed Cab
I'm here. I check this forum every day. My computer crapped out over a year ago. My wife gave me a tablet, can't post pictures anymore. This is a great forum with some of the best people in our hobby and I miss it.
I'm very close to finishing the WC-11, it will be in Louisville.
I have a WC-1 that the cab is blasted and doing metal work now.
I sold the WC-56 last year and just sold the WC-22. I need the room for the Autocar M3A1 Halftrack restoration.
If I can help any of you guys let me know, glad to help.
Phil

Thank you thank you. Taking a week off to wire up. Had ideas but this makes it easy. Scratch that. Easier. Thanks for all you input. And yes someday I'll figure out how to post pics.

Re: Pics needed 41 Closed Cab
I see Phil checked in here, and I see that he is on FB as well. I have set up a couple of Dodge WC FB pages. Seems to be a lot of folks going there, but this forum and the G503 are the best for documenting and posting projects in my opinion. I post something on FB, and a few days later I can't even find it!krisinwa.st. wrote:Hey Zeph , how did you get those pictures to post ? , and not

Posting photos are a piece of cake as I use the G503 photo posting site. It is free and simple to use. I think I posted a tutorial on how to use it on the G503 some time ago. If anyone is interested, I may be able to dig it up. Here is the link to the free site: http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/
Phil, you should use the G503 photo posting site as I think you are a member on the G503 . Geez, I have to have a PC, or I'm useless so I feel your pain. I don't like using the iPhone I have for things like surfing and posting to forums.
I actually sold one of my vehicles as well. Didn't think I had it in me....my WC54. Sadly, it was headed from California to the new owner in Florida when the semi hauling it took a detour through the unimproved desert after a front tire blowout. Severe damage to the WC54. It appeared to have rocked so badly that the body rolled and damaged the combat wheels! Almost ripped the body in half where the cab seam is. Also popped and destroyed the rear doors. Hood also popped off. Frame was badly twisted as well. I really felt bad for the new owner. The trucking company insurance is fighting him. It is a mess.
I did pick up a WC26 and a WC57 for restoration recently. Working on the WC26 now and documenting it on the FB page and G503. It's a chocolate mess with a lot of rust, but working through it. I have now vowed not to get any vehicles that have rust damage in the future. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it....

Re: Pics needed 41 Closed Cab
Phil , my computer died as well about two years ago and I've been using
my smart phone in it's place , to make it work easy I use ( which I already had )
a remote ( wireless ) full size key board and a wireless mouse , all I had to buy
was a pigtale that plugs into my phone's charging port and accepts the wireless
sensor for the keyboard / mouse , and to veiw the screen on a full size tv I bought
a thing called chromecast it's wirless as well ( the tv must have a HDMI port in
order to use the chromecast ) for me Its almost as good as regular lap top
altough not as many features ..., the way I post pictures is : Check out a thread
called ; new member and owner of a WC54 by RBranche , its about 15 lines below
this thread , starting on page two I describe how I post pictures on this forum
which works on all forums as well , hope this helps , Kris

Thanks again for all the photos. Question-what does the hose coming out of the firewall above the oil can holder go to? Heater?

Re: Pics needed 41 Closed Cab
It is the vacuum wiper air hose that comes from the intake manifold. It goes through the firewall, behind the glove box, and then through the cowl near the passenger side windshield post to serve the vacuum motors. Hope that make sense.41powerwagon wrote:Thanks again for all the photos. Question-what does the hose coming out of the firewall above the oil can holder go to? Heater?
