Most "classic" MV Events are having a long tradition - so if you miss an Event in my 2018 list crosscheck with this one ore one of the older lists that I have posted.

Rhine crossing memorial inauguration with WW2 MV and crossing of the Rhine with Veterans at D-55283 Nierstein (G).
Inauguration of the new Nierstein WW2 Rhine crossing memorial, with support of the U. S. Army 249th Engineer Battalion Association, Nierstein Historical Association and the USMVC with its HMV. Highlight: Rhine crossing by ferry for WW2 MV and Veterans at the original Rhine crossing site!!!

20 years anniversary and "Spring Museums opening Event" (Museumsfrühling) at the Military Museum Stammheim, D-97509 Stammheim (G)
Traditional annual opening Event of the private owned Military Museum at Stammheim am Main (nearby Würzburg). In 2017 it will be a large celebration of the 20 years anniversary of the Museum. The Event is every year linked to a special focus theme / period with re-enactment groups in place, but in 2017 it will link several themes together. So there will be Re-Enactors of the Preussian wars (1870/71), WW1 and WW2. Incl. WW2 MV and Tanks (German and American).

It's the "little sister" Event of the Santa Fe MV Event at the Liberty Park Museum at Overloon with many re-enactors groups, MV driving on a 1 mile circuit in the Museums Park + militaria fair. NOTE: Focus is mainly on German WW2 MV!

8th US and Bundeswehr Military Vehicle Meeting, D-97762 Hammelburg (G)
Mid-Sized MV collectors Event with about 50:50 former US Army and Bundeswehr vehicles in place. The MV Camp is again close to the Saaleck Castle and the Bundeswehr special forces training ground Hammelburg. Access to the military area is possible as a guided convoy with MP on Sat. - but only if no troops are training. Entrance-Fee per vehicle is 15,- Euro (to be confirmed). Registration necessary. "73rd anniversary of D-Day", Normandy, (F)
Just as a "reminder" for all of you: D-Day 2017 is the 73rd anniversary of the landings in Normandy and will be not such a "big thing" as in 2014. But as usual there will be a lot of events and commemorations in the week before and after the 6th. I will add lateron more specific infos in an own thread, as soon as I get them.
Generally speaking: you should plan your trip in time and make reservations as soon as possible - esp. if you are planning to stay at the "hot spots" as Sainte-Mère-Eglise or Omaha Beach with limited amount of Hotels and B&B places.

A good source for informations is the tourist office of Sainte-Mère-Eglise and it's homepage (check from time to time for updates).

Worth a visit is the Airborne Museum at Sainte-Mère-Eglise - that has been expanded in large scale for the 2014 anniversary. incl. an interesting glider simulator. The Museums hp offer's informations on the D-Day commemorations and activities around D-Day. See: http://www.airborne-museum.org/

Re-Enactors and MV collectors camps in Normandy will be at the usual places as Sainte-Mère du Mont, Carentan (Camp Arizona) and Sainte-Mère-Eglise.

Originally an Aircraft enthusiasts Fly-In Event with a very long tradition (since 1975 annualy) at Gelnhausen, East of Frankurt and directly at the Autobahn A66. Vintage car display (with USMVC Jeeps in place) and great airshow. Worth a visit.

The well known La Gleize militaria fair across the town-centre is to be held on Sat. from 8.00 h (a.m.) to 20.00 h (p.m.).

Very cool MV event (mostly static display) located at the two runways of the Ursel Airfield with Air-Show and one of the largest militaria fairs in Belgium. Worth to visit because it's one of the nicest combinations of MV Event & militaria fair in central Europe.

16th European Elvis Festival at Bad Nauheim and 10th Elvis Weekend at Friedberg (G)
Largest Event in Europe of this kind at the former "European home of the King", incl. Exhibitions, Cadillac Parade (19.08., 2pm, Bad Nauheim), Cinema- and life music Events, collectibles market and much more - celebrating this year the 81st B-Day of the King! The background of this Festival: When the “King of Rock ´n´ Roll” started his military service on the 1st of October 1958, the city of Bad Nauheim (about 20 km north of Frankfurt) soon became his “European home”: He rented a house at the Goethestrasse in Bad Nauheim and lived there with his his parents for 18 months and met his later wife during that time there. So Bad Nauheim is the home of the "European Graceland". The German Elvis Presley Association (EPG) is celebrating this fact at Bad Nauheim with it's "European Elvis Festival".
His US Army unit was located at the Ray Barracks at the nearby town of Friedberg and the City of Friedberg is celebrating this period with "the King" with an own Event, the "10. Elvis Weekend" in cooperation with the Elvis Presley Verein (EPV) on the same weekend. Both festival attract each year 6,000-8,000 visitors. Highlights: collectibles market, lot's of cover Bands and a Cadillac & vintage car exhibition as well as a Cadillac parade from Bad Nauheim to Friedberg and a unique guided tour with MV at the former US Army Ray Barracks area that normally is strictly closed to the public. The Elvis Presley Verein (EPV) is organizing two tours to the Ray Barracks on Sat. 19.08. at 10 am and at 12.00 h. The tours are with vintage bus and historic Jeeps to the former garrison, that is closed to the public. Rare chance for a guided tour with local historians!

17. Klassikertreffen an den Opelvillen. Rüsselsheim (G)
The GM company Opel and the City of Rüsselsheim are organizing in 2017 the 17th edition of one of the largest vintage car Events in the State of Hesse. In the Park of the former Opel family Villas, located on the riverbanks of the River Main up to 3,000 classic cars from all decades and manufacturers will show up at this relaxed picknick-style Sunday Event. 17th Schmidtenhoehe Koblenz HMV Event org. by the MVD-Koblenz, D-56075 Koblenz (G)
Largest annual MV event in Germany organised by the Military Vehicle Drivers - Koblenz.
Usually more than 400 MV in place. Focus is clearly on post WW2 MV (= 98 % of all in place).
The Event is open to all types of vehicles - tracked as well (Tanks, Halftracks, Military Caterpillars etc.) - even those with steel tracks! The MVD offers the unique opportunity for free (!) driving on the German Forces Tank training grounds close to the River Rhine and the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.

Please notice: German WWII uniforms and vehicles, weapons (deactivated and muckabouts) are NOT allowed as well as the actual Bundeswehr Uniforms. 18th edition of this great event with it's long tradition, that is bringing each year about 20 WW2 allied Tanks and approx. 30 or even more Armored MV as M8, Halftracks Scout Cars etc. together - plus WW2 truck's and light vehicles in a large amount. Now the first info's are at hand for this great WW2 MV Event & Liberation Festival at the City of Mons and online registration is open. International Huertgen Forest March (Der internationale Hürtgenwaldmarsch/IHM) with commemoration at the Church of Vossenack, D-52393 Hürtgenwald Community of Vossenack (G).
The IHM already has a tradition of more than 26 years. In order to foster international understanding, the IHM is held in remembrance of one of the costliest battles of World War II – the so-called "All Souls' Day Battle" from November 1944 to February 1945.
Today, women and men, civilians and soldiers, veterans of all nations and their grandchildren march side by side during the International Huertgen Forest March (IHM). This is international understanding in action and may be a historic lesson. In remembrance of the horror of war, they all meet in the idyllic autumn forests, protesting together in silence against a German reign of terror which has been defeated – hopefully for ever.
The organizer of this commemorative march is the Land Command North Rhine-Westphalia (Landeskommando NRW) in cooperation with the local Hürtgenwald Reservist Association and the Aachen district group of the Bundeswehr Reserve Association.

NUTS! WEEKEND - Bastogne liberation celebrations, B-6600 Bastogne (B) and locations nearby.
As in the last years the organization is splitted up among the City of Bastogne and several other groups. Valid informations for 2017 are actually not at hand.
Based on the schedule of the last years is the Historic Walk on Sat., starting at the Bastogne Barracks. At the Barracks will be a Militaria fair with some traders.
Several parties are downtown Bastogne on Friday and Saturday Evening (Place McAuliffe and nearby). The MV parade at Bastogne will take place on Sunday, starting at the Bastogne Barracks.

Flag of Friendship Ceremony St. Vith - Rencheux & Manhay, Manhay (Ardennes) and nearby, B-6960 Manhay (B)
The 'Bulge Chapter' of the 106th Infantry Division Association will organize its sixth annual ''Flag of Friendship'' (FOF) ceremony and commemoration at the Division Monument in the Klosterstrasse at St. Vith on Sunday, 17 December 2017 @ 10:00 a.m. Free parking is available at the An der Linden traffic circle. The ceremony will be dedicated in honor of Pvt. Harry A. Arpajian, killed in action on 16 December 1944 while serving with the 424th Infantry Regiment at Heckhuscheid, Germany. Familymembers of Pvt. Arpajian will be present for the ceremony. Vintage WWII military vehicles will be on site.
At Manhay at 15:00 a ceremony will take place to inaugurate a new monument dedicated to the 424th Regimental Combat Team and the 7th Armored Division, in honor of their actions at Manhay in December 1944. Timeline:
