Hi gents, I'm not sure how our photos on posts will fare as Photobucket want to charge too much to have 3rd party hosting. We may lose a lot of our historic
illustrated posts. Does anyone know of a free and better service?
Cheers,

Re: Photos
Morning Brian. I see elsewhere people are investigating IMGUR. I need to find some myself as my paid server got discontinued too.

Just a caution.
Many times, free isn't free.
Storing photos on a free server could also mean you are assigning or surrendering your rights to the image.
Good example is FaceBook...any info or pics posted become the property of FaceBook.
Read the fine print and be cautious

Re: Photos
MANY possibly most, people already have a hosting site for photos and they don't even know it. If your ISP gives you disk space to host a homepage, that's the same thing as space for hosting photos. And, if you are paying for this service, you have total control over it.

Best is always the own webspace - but not all have that opportunity.

- My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.

Chrome and Firefox both have patches- do a search for "Firefox photobucket extension"... (Or chrome, what have you)
