All,
I relinquish brigade command on 7 July and the Army is sending us to Ft. Sam Houston, Texas for our next duty station.
Time to move the Dodge! Have any of you used a car transport company? If so who?
I usually move the WC myself but using the trailer to haul the Ben Hur trailer and basic household stuff.

Not a transport service, but transports milvehicles all the time.
Contact Ron Leatherman at Military Vehicle Repair & Restorations.
http://www.mv-restoration.com
He is out of Ft Wayne Indiana. He may or may not do it just a suggestion.
With the MVPA Convention in Cleveland maybe you could meet there and see what he can work. If you need work on the vehicle you could have him do it then deliver to you down in Texas
Just a thought.

Make sure the shipper has insurance for the load. General car insurance doesn't cover transporting someone else's stuff.
All right they're on our left they're on our right they're in front of us they're behind us they can't get away this time

Re: Transport Service for WC
I have used this vender to transport an M37 for me a few years ago. I've also referred them to a few friends to transport some MVs, too.

- My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.
Re: Transport Service for WC
As long as it is drivable, most of the auto transport companies will handle it ok. However- they want it driveable & with a working parking brake. Also, most of them have NO CLUE what a WC is! I got all sorts of quotes- until I explained it is a little slammer than a Dodge Ram, and told them the weight(around 5-6k/lbs)... I had a non-runner with no working brakes, so I ended up getting a private hauler through one of the tractor enthusiast sites. He hauled her from Arizona to Indianapolis(where I met him with another truck to complete t he mission home to NJ), but I think he only handles western to central USA hauls...
