2 WC-53's for sale......SOLD!

Post by jbell »

2 WC-53's for sale, both need restoration, neither is running. The one is very complete and has a title. The other one is for the most part dismantled but is still a roller, body on the frame, no title.
I have many extras, radios, radio table, antennae base, antennae brush guard, 2 spare doors and nice right rear fender, TM's ,2 good windshield frames, etc. Both have complete tailgates. One of the tailgates is a Midwest Military reproduction ($1400)
I would like to sell both to the same buyer. I'm in St Louis area.
asking 18,000.00 for both. Call me 618-978-7248.........Thanks, John

Wow, I hope everything is ok on the home front. Just not the person I thought would be getting rid of them. I do hope things are ok with you.

Thank you for your concern James. Everything is OK here. It's just that sometimes the economics of life and raising a family interferes with our plans and the first thing to go our is our "toys".

I'm glad things are ok.
I ended up getting another, makes four in my yard. I have made two tailgates out of three donors, and fitted the sheet metal on the rear surrounds. I'm starting on the quarter panel with the battery cutout. I should have a restored rolling shell for sale before long.

Hey guys.. um.. I just bought my first one, WC53. Is there any chance I could get some body part pix from you? I am realizing I have body issues but no guide or plan on how the bits should actually go together. For example the door frames. Both driver & passenger rear pillars are about 3/4" short of the floor frame. How was this intersection built originally? Could I ask for some door frame pictures?

Thanks millions!

These are a set of lower door frame mounts I made. The lower frame is usually gone, along with the mounts. If you just fix the sheet metal it won't work. My experience has been, cut everything out, grind and blast clean, put new mounts, then fill in what sheet metal you may need. Make sure your door fits first or you will be sorely disappointed. I stick with a 3/16" gap on my doors.
