Re: body tag to production number
Somebody correct me if I am wrong but the body tag is a Budd Manufacturing number, not Dodge. You would not be able to find the frame number from the body tag number. However, from the frame number, you can get a Dodge build card that would show the Budd body tag number..... I know that won't do you any good.

Nope, you got it right. The body tag is just a body tag.
Frame number located behind drivers front tire is the number used for build card, vehicle serial number and registration

Re: body tag to production number
Hola Mannyc,
Your reasoning is not correct, I think so.
The number 19 is two models: WC-56 and WC-57.
The cabin is the same for these two models.
And as an anecdote the VC-1 model has the number 4219, too.
I dare say that your model is from the year 1943. You have to indicate one thing, it is possible that it was manufactured in the 42 nd, but delivered in the year 43.
To know the military registration number, it is necessary to have the B.C.
The upper left box will indicate a number and we also need the number that put in the upper central box of the B.C..
Then we will know the order number and the fabrication number in that order.
Then it is a matter of making a calculation and we can know the number you can paint on the hood of the car.
Naturally with a significant tolerance.
This is a theory that I have developed and that with something more than 150 B.C., has never failed, so far ...
It is possible that somewhere in the USA, there is a record that tells us the chassis number and its corresponding military registration number...It is a book "Holy Grail", But we do not know where it is and even if it exists
Regards,
Juan.

Hola,
From time to time they usually leave cabin plates for sale. I'll keep up and I'll let you know.
The difficult thing is the type of number.
B.R., Juan.
