On the military headlight switch
Is the second switch position defined by anything mechanical before you get to the third switch position? On mine after you push the release button it is a smooth pull right to the end stop so I need to watch for the headlights to come on then stop there.

They should have mechanical clicks at each setting. On my switch, it's easy to pull through past the headlights but their is a click.

i have no clicks. It was a boxed NOS switch. unless something is stuck. Everything works OK just no stop.

NOS is never a solution that it works perfect. I have a NOS speedo and it doesn't work, because the grease inside is sticky.
It could be that you have the same problem with your switch. Normally is there a mechanical "click".

The switch was purposely designed to have stops because it has several different electrical contact points which it has to stop at in order for the various light options to work.

Ill try it again when it warms up. It might be stiff grease from the cold.
