Is there a metal cover in the back of the WC57 Command Car rear seat?

Yes, it was pretty much the same as the backing on the front seat. Page 46 of TM 9-808 has a picture of an open tailgate but it is not detail oriented.

Midwest Military has both front and rear seats as well as both trim panels and associated parts in stock.

John, I did not know you had the rear seat trim panel, will be calling this spring when I take the CC out of winter storage.
I always thought the back of the rear seat was wood.
