Hi guys,
I have a NOS handle for the rear Dodge Command Car cover. That lock inside the handle has the original keys with a KC 451 number. Please do you have a idea where I can get another lock for my second used handle that I can use the same keys from the NOS one? And how can I get the old lock outside the handle without the keys?
Best,
Tom

Midwest Military has 2 used original handles that you might be able to use.

Morning Tom, this is just what I remember from when I had the same problem.
There is good news and bad news. The good news is you can change the existing lock to work with your original key, the bad news is you have to get the non-matching lock to the open position.
I was able to get my non-matching lock to open just trying a lot of worn keys. When the lock was open, there is a hole you can push a pin into and spring the lock barrel out, then you can juggle the six or so lock detents so that they will accept your original key, then reassemble.

a good locksmith should be able to match your used unit to the keys in the NOS unit.

Your in luck. I just bought a new one from Vintage Power Wagons for $25.00 with keys. Great buy.

Yes, I'm very lucky with that. Doesn't matter if $25 or $200.
