Quite a feat in time and money and only highlights the tragedy of "Kee-Bird".

I used to go up Hwy 395 a lot in the late 1990's. B-29 Doc just turned-up one day parked just off the Hwy. I think it was the last salvageable B-29 left at China Lake but was in very bad shape. The vertical stabilizer had even been cut-off at some point. I was sad to see her go but restoration back to flying condition would of been impossible left where she was.

If anyone wants to see a B-29 in the UK, the one at IWM Duxford is an ex-China Lake B-29 called "It's Hawg Wild".

Great to see this rare warbird back in the air!
It's a flying monument for all the crew's that served in those aircrafts.

One of my relatives was a B-29 Co-Pilot and KIA in the end of WW2 in the Pacific, when he was taking part in test flights for the final assault on the Japanese mainland.

Lest we forget,

Yes its great to see another war bird in the air. I had a chance years ago to see Fifi in the air. I also had the chance to sit in the copilots seat what a thrill.
