is no longer with us was in the Merchant Marines during WW 2 , and if I remember
correctly he told me he sailed on a Victory Ship , although it could have been a different
type of ship , anyway he told me that they would assemble as many CCKW's as they
could during the voyage to their destination . I sure do miss Bill ..., he taught me a lot
about ways to be practical when working on heavy and light equipment , he made a living
as a caterpillar mechanic

Thanks for that great movie.
Must have been filmed on the the first day as it looks pretty disorganised and unskilled. Certainly nobody is busting a gut. I am sure they got better as you see photos of what looks like almost factory production lines with highly efficient assembly later on.
