- My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.

Anyone on this forum score any of the dodge VC or wc 1/2 tons in the collection. Eager to see someone restore a closed cab VC. Love the looks of the VC just don't have the money to build one after what I spent to build my WC-12

I was there, tons of trucks and parts, it was an amazing day and a long day, most things went to people that will do something with it I think. The scrappers didnt get any of the good stuff as far as I saw. I stayed until the very end and was able to pick up some parts. I did also buy another VF 401

The two VC3's sold for about $650 - $700 each. They went to a Hot Rodder who will be stripping most of the military parts and engine. They are saved, but will not be military. I also believe they can be bought if someone wants to try to buy them. I have the number. The VC1's went to a restorer.

I attended. Met Jeff- nice guy. The best deal of the pile was the WC27. It had the nicest un-restored ambulance body I've ever seen, and went for $1100.00. Supposedly it is going outside the US. The WC-55 was real nice, needing new wood and the correct engine- $3100. The WC-63 was nice, and had what I think is a late-war blank boss replacement engine. It went for $3400. The Dodge fire truck was supposedly a return from ETO- $850.00. The Chevy M6 bomb truck was $7200- two guys got in a bidding war on it. I think the one overpaid for it and the other got out of a bad deal. It did have the correct seats, but will need a total restoration. The Gemco T-1 jeep trailer was rougher than it looked in the photos- I bid it to $700 and thought that was too much- I didn't get it. Two Ben Hur's went for $375.00 (it had data plate but couldn't tell the manufacturer due to paint, lunette, landing leg, no landing wheel, spare tire carrier under the rear, brake handle, both tail light brackets, blackout light switch) which was a deal if you had a good set of wheels. The other went for $500 (had Gerstenslager data plate, lunette, no landing leg or wheel, brake handle, both wheels, better shape).
I wound up with the WC-64(KD). The truck is pretty crispy and probably won't make it as a restoration. But it had these:

Rear door bottoms will need repair, but they are otherwise in good shape. Note the nice original OD paint underneath the flaking red on the upper stretcher rack. This nearly completes one more KD for me.
