Brake pedal mounting brackets wanted... & other parts

Post by Bruce »

Hi, I am looking for the brake pedal mounting bracket (2 of) that bolts to the chassis on a 3/4ton WC. Also, here in Australia most wc's have been converted to RH drive at some point in their past. To do this they cut (usually with an oxy) holes in the transmission cover for the clutch pedal.

This is not the part that can be un-bolted & taken out to get to the gearbox, but the piece that is spotted welded to the firewall. While they can be repaired, I was really hoping someone would have a couple of rusty cabs that they would be willing to cut these bits out of & send to me.

Thanks, any help will be much appreciated. Regards Bruce

Cheers Ray, I have one bracket coming from VPW (that was all Steve has at the moment) but have not tried John at MWM yet. I will also give Ross a go. If you could check the cab you have that would be great. How would I contact LLoyd, Keith & Jay? I am in Jindera NSW...we have spoken a few times at Corowa. Regards Bruce

My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.

Bruce, if you still need one, I have a brake pedal bracket- the one that bolts to the frame available... It was "torch nicked" on the lower inside edge of the bracket, on the inboard end: the truck had a winch mounted, but it was a cobbled together rig, & they cut it so the winch drive shaft would clear... It could be restored, or left as-is if desired, with no adverse operation...

PM me if interested. I'm in NJ, USA
