my 1934 Dodge 4x4 K39x4

Post by scuppernongwine »

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie here on this forum-recommended by a fellow enthusiast. I thought I'd share my truck with you guys. It's a 1934 Dodge 4x4 K39x4. I bought it in the deep south after a long slumber-I don't know it's background history. I've only seen these truck in pictures and havn't heard of another one still in existence. Pictures to follow soon.....

Congratulations on your rare find. Get that baby restored and you'll be the envy of just about every Dodge military and civilian truck owner in existence.

Yep, I've wanted/looked for this model truck for years. Congrats and good luck!
P.S. I believe 796 of these were made along with a follow up batch of 1,800 in 1938, Model RF40-X-4USA

Thanks for those production numbers. Do you have any other information on what branches of the service these trucks were used in? I have seen pictures of them in Hawaii and also in the Presidio in San Francisco. Any other pictures or info out there?

It looks like with the birth of my firstborn that I won't be getting to this truck anytime soon. Thanks for all the info on the truck and checking it out. I just listed it on ebay for sale. Here is the link....

Relisted. I've had some offers but I still have the truck. I have a newborn 7 week old girl, little spare time, and it's time to cull the herd a bit. This is the only known survivor of less than 800 made. I've slashed my reseve-I want to sell the truck. Once in a lifetime opportunity for not that much coin...
