shocks ambulance parts and convoy lights for 1/2 ton

Post by wc 9 and 12 owner »

I have a question what shocks would be on 1/2 ton trucks and ambulances. A family friend just bought a crap load of ac delco shocks and I looked in the manual and all it says id ac delco not giving the model. Another question what brand of siren would go on 1/2 ton ambulance and where would it mount. On wc1-11 the convoy light mount to the headlight. Are they special convoy lights or regular mounted in a new way and the lenses turned

evedently ambulance suspension is a science all its own
just looking at page 314 of the master parts manual,
all the ambulances are called out differentely .
tells me you gotto do a lot homework on that subject.
on early half tons thay started out with a blue louvered black out marker
light, and then chainged over to the rectangular cat eye.
I dont think youll find any of the blue louverd, anymore.
but thay were replaced as soon as possible, with the cat eye lense.
so it dont mater what u use on 1/2 tons. eather is fine.
if you dont have a master parts manual its well worth the money.

if you cant afford the manual, you cant afford the truck!
