Whats this Tony B asking questions on another forum. OK it's one of Bert & Gordons. Have you checked out http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/history/segment/1.html or http://www.chryslerheritage.com. There are some amazing facts on there like the Dodge Brothers built the first 500,000 model T Fords and ended up owning 10% of Ford because Henry Ford had cash flow problems or that in 1917 they were asked to make the intricate recoil firing mechanisms for French 75 and 155mm guns because of their engineering prowess or that the Dodge vehicles had an electric starter when the Ford model T had hand crank starting. The brothers both died in 1920. John on 14 January and Harold on 10 December both from complications from pneumonia. Look at the sites. There is a photograph of a 1917 Dodge ambulance and links to other fascinating Dodge facts.

thanks Phil, I'll have a look. I'd like to get some info before Ieper in July. Now all I need is six numbers on a Wednesday or a Saturday, I'm not fussy either or both

Seen a 1918 Dodge Pick Up for sale on E-bay a few years back - SWEET!
Could go well with my 1917/18 US uniforms....

P.S. First link didn't work.
