Odd Spanners {Wrenches}

Post by Ray Edsall »

In the tool kit for a wc51/2 etc there are 2 spanners [Wrenches] that seem a little odd.They are w1012 11/32x3/8 and w1922 19/32x11/16 . Does any body know what the 11/32 and 19/32 fit on the wc51/53 etc They seem an od size to have and use on the trucks .Ray

this just came up on the PW forum and the 19/32 is for the axle puller bolt lock nuts. That was a more common size way back. 11/32 is usually a size you find on electrical parts, e.g. starter solenoids dist. coils, guages. But I can't thiink of anywhere I ahve needed 11/32 on a WC. Chevrolet starter wires were ALL 11/32 for decades even well into the metric age. They may even still be.

I always wondered that also since I seem to find all the odd ball size wrenches.
