Hi Juan
A number of the codes on the build card are a mystery to me but some I can guess at while some are still in use today.
BOX-KDX would refer to whether the vehicle was shipped in a crate and if so whether it was partially dismantled or KNOCKED DOWN.
CAU-PLATE probably refers to the presence of a warning or CAUTION PLATE on the vehicle
KILO would have to refer to weight of vehicle or shipment.
SHIP MA ???
P.SH.MET ??? Possibly something to do with POLISHED SHEET METAL?
TRAC.RO. ???
CAB.ATT.PT.??? Possibly CAB ATTACH POINT?
A.T.LAMP I think this may apply to the inclusion of an AUTO TROUBLE LAMP which was a little lamp attached to a lead for use in and around the vehicle.
EXPR. HUB ???
GOVERNOR This would refer to an engine speed limiting device.
GENERATOR = DYNAMO for producing electric current.
ECON.GRP.???
R.B & S.S. ???
P.T.PUMP would I think be PNEUMATIC TYRE PUMP
PARTITION probably refers to the installation of a fixed screen between the front and rear seating areas.
EXT.SEAT may refer to an EXTRA SEAT or an EXTERNAL SEAT usually referred to as a DICKY SEAT or RUMBLE SEAT.
CHR.ACCY ??? may refer to an ACCESSORY CHAIR or CHROMIUM ACCESSORY?
H.D.CLNR this would refer to the inclusion of a HEAVY DUTY AIR CLEANER on the engine intake.
SPEC ACCY would refer to any SPECIAL ACCESSORIES fitted to or included with the vehicle.
Hope this helps and I look forward to additions or corrections.

I was just noticing there were some slight changes to the December 1940 build card compared to the earlier 1940 build cards. Then after December 1940 they did not change.

Hello Ernie,

I can't follow with that:
there were some slight changes to the December 1940 build card compared to the earlier 1940 build cards.
I tried to compare but can't make out changes there? Did you mean 1942 instead of 1940?

Before 1942 they stamp "US WAR DEPT" and later on the "US WAR DEPT" was already printed on the card.

In February and March 1943 they used again Build Cards without "US WAR DEPT" printing. Maybe because of shortage in blank cards and great quantity of produced Trucks?

Interesting on the 1940s Trucks are the different ignition key numbers. Later on all show H700. Do the early Trucks realy have different keys?

Greetings
Sylvia

Hello Sylvia,

If you compare the April 5th 1940 Build Card with the December 13th Build Card that you have in your compilation and read the descriptions printed in the columns they differ between the two. For example the first upper left column of the April 5th build card is printed "Ship MA" and the first upper left column in the December 13th Build Card is printed "BDX-KDX". If you continue to compare the two Build Cards in that manner you will see they differ on both the upper and lower rows of printed descriptions.
