DECALS FOR CCKW COMPONENTS

Post by RANGER »

Perhaps it is time to contact Rick Larsen and submit samples. Water Slide is for the most part obsolete, vinyl last longer and can be made to identical appearance on most applications. Chicago Decal was former Wartime supplier to the industry in WWII, and they have discarded all of the WWII patterns along with those used on M-Series trucks and Jeeps.. Decals are best left to the specialists.

Oh,Oh, hold it, they ain't quite right yet, Farby 's gotta do some tweaking. Little advice for Farby, careful how you tweak the decal manufacturer, it ain't over yet.
I can't wait to look under Farby's Hood. The yellow will look good on that red engine.

Anybody know the back lash adjustment for CCKW PTO Drive Gear to Transmission Reverse Idler Gear. Word has it that the TM9-801 site could use a little help with it.

Maybe this week, but seriously, your engine will "talk" to you, decals are not necessary. Been driving mine 28 years without decals.

I haven't fitted a set yet but they look nice, very close to the NOS examples I have. I just need to sort out the engine paint now.

Far be it from me to be the judge on the Decalcomania, but I don't think my engine will go "Nuts" over them.
