Duolite Window Glass
Long overdue response to a request for pics of the Duolite window glass, which I believe to be original to the truck:
I haven't lost the ball on the truck restoration...just got caught up with other priorities. Have recently spent a boodle on parts, and hope to have something substantive to show in the next month or so...

Well, the cab is finally off the frame, as of about a month ago. Got some repair work to have done on the frame, then off to sandblasting.

Re: 1941 WC-1
Finally sandblasted the bellhousing last weekend. In the process, was interested to discover what appears to be a date in the casting, 1-7-41. I don't yet have my buildcard (title not yet squared away), so was surprised to see such an early date. Perhaps I shouldn't have been, given the square gauges, but still...
Sure hope I can make Tower, but am afraid the WC will still be a project at that stage.

Just connecting this thread with the one above about 1/2 tons in the ETO.
As for truck work, it's been slow between moving and work. I've come up with some significant parts recently, but no major updates to report

Re: 1941 WC-1
Wish I had one to offer. The machinist wouldn't guarantee any repairs on the block which was in the truck when I bought it - crack was about 1/2" below the engine deck. Junked it 2 years ago.68427vette wrote:i have the earlest VC1,, could use an early block....

Re: 1941 WC-1
After years away from the truck, I've moved it to be with me. Still in lots of pieces, but I've started to slowly work on little parts. I need to inventory what I have, what I think I have, and what's where.
Current plan is to paint the rims, so that I can assemble the wheels. They're space hogs.
It's good to be back into WC mode!!
