3 ton radio repair

SCR-88 Radio Repair Truck(3-ton) with SCR-86A and SCR-120 Battery Chgr.

anybody have a pic of this?
or know what it was?

No idea Brian,

doesn't show up anywhere as 4 x 2, 6 x 4, 4 x 4, or 6 x 6.

the only quantity truck I can think of was the model immediately before the ordinary GMC 6 x 6, which was rated at 3 ton rather than 2.5


Let us know if you find out.

Could it be a GMC AFKX-352? They had 1 1/2 - 3 ton. Thanks Andy

man that 20's and 30's stuff sure lack documentation.
if it didnt show up on scr lists no one would know it ever
exhisted.

Hi Brian
One of our local members has the remains of a 3 ton 4x4 cab over Chevy.
I forget the number, but it oiriginally had a maintenance/radio box on back.
this truck is a big sucker, 8 lug wheels, 427 cubic inch 6 cyl motor.
Unfortunatly the truck is in very sad shape, no rear body and front sheet metal is all but gone.
